Getting Started on your Fundraiser
Suggestions for setting up a successful fundraiser.
Determine your goal. Decide how much you would like to add to your Annual Budget. Set the price of your ornaments to double or triple your cost.
Fundraiser Campaign Calendar.
Schedule your timetable for:
- Volunteer meeting Establish a display committee to create, place and monitor drop boxes, an events committee to coordinate hospice events, distribution and shipping committee
- Start date of your campaign
- Schedule Date for Holiday Remembrance Service, Festival of trees or other hospice community events
- Publicity, Contact Media with news releases:
Newspaper
Radio
TV and/or local cable
Newsletter( include information about your fundraiser and ornaments)
Posters place posters throughout the community in high traffic areas - Approach local businesses for permission to set up displays with drop boxes. Contact supermarkets, banks, and other local businesses and share information about your fundraiser
- Distribute Drop Boxes and sales display Monitor orders regularly until event is completed.
- Set up your tree of remembrance or garland in a public setting to display the memorial ornaments
- Distribute or Ship Ornaments. Be sure to ship and distribute ornaments so they are received in time for Christmas unless they are to be displayed through the Holiday Season
